Welcome!

As many of you know, after years of dedicated service to the youth of Amherstburg, Michelle Laframboise is leaving her position as Program Coordinator at The House Youth Centre to continue her studies. We want to thank Michelle for the impact she has made on the lives of hundreds of young people in our area and for her leadership and guidance to our amazing volunteers during her tenure. There are no words that can adequately describe how heartfelt our thanks and appreciation are for everything she has done during her House journey. She will be missed by everyone involved and we wish her all the best in the next step of her journey. Michelle has spent the majority of her life making a home for youth that helps them realize their full potential and she will always have a place in that home forever.

The House embarked on a search for the new Program Coordinator and on behalf of the Board of Directors, I am thrilled to announce that Jessica Jarvis will be assuming her duties as the new coordinator on Monday, July 30, 2018. Jessica brings years of experience as a volunteer peer mentor in The House program and has worked with Michelle and other key volunteers to assist in the planning and implementation of all facets of our work with youth. She has a strong background in Early Childhood Education and is completing her degree in Psychology at the University of Windsor. I know the Board, Staff, Volunteers and Members of The House will join me in welcoming Jessica to her new role and assist her in whatever ways they can during this transition.

Best regards,

John Sutton, Executive Director
